There has been a group of people protesting war at Fort Monmouth in Eatontown, NJ since the 1960's. I've been part of this group for a number of years off and on. Of late there has been a small band of people who are affiliated with Kfir Alfia and his Zion loving Protest "Warriors" counter protesting our criticism of the Bush Administration's invasion and occupation of Iraq.

Although their signs and sloganeering would presuppose a certain "support" for those soldiers serving in Iraq, it is apparent that they only want them to remain immersed in a quagmire to fulfill some latent need for a powerful Empire that will help them to feel safe. They confuse safety with liberty, strength with war, and power with intelligence. I suppose one has to feel sorry for them that they are so fearful of these unknown and in most cases unfounded dangers. The are angry that we would dare question their "king". They would do more good if they would protest the closing of VA Hospitals, and the shoddy treatment of returning veterans.

It is after all, not really their fault. They are victims of a right-wing controlled media whose sole purpose in this New World Ordure is to make the citizenry fearful so that the public will happily give up their freedom to oppose bad policy, for a little bit of temporary security. This has already happend in large measure. Thus the fascination with firearms. They would like to be able to inflict harm from 50 meters without shedding any of their own blood. Such is the way of the coward. It's easy to wave the flag & send other people to take all the risks for your perceived safety.

Not good work. Pretzel. I'm disappointed.

You mention Zion, that's good for a point. As are Empire and King.

But here's what you are lacking...

- Bush Administration's invasion and occupation of Iraq should read Bush Regime's illegal invasion and occupation against the oppressed victims of Iraq

- You make no casual use of the word "genocide"

- Where's your indictment of capitalism?

- You use "fascination" but not "Fascist"

- You don't accuse anyone of racism or sexism

If you were in my Propaganda 220 class here at MIT, I'd have to give you a low score. I suggest you consult Ramsey Clark or Lynne Stewart for some assistance. What? Lynne's not available right now? What? Prison? For what? Oh Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman is an innocent freedom fighter standing in the way of yet another American-run genocide.

Well, call up Ramsey Clark. He'll help you.

Great joke here!!!

Am I to understand that somehow, people who have taken their cue from your side's very own playbook are a joke, but your side is somehow not??

You say that there have been people at Fort Monmouth "since the 1960's, protesting war? I guess those awful wars during the Ford and Carter administrations sure kept you motivated!!! Do you also protest the Revolutionary war also? I mean what those mean and ornery colonists did to them redcoats was just plain redcoat-a-cide!!! Think of poor King George back then, how do you think that effected his self esteem, losing to a ragtag bunch of commoners like that.

How about the Civil War (or should we just call go with prevailing Southern thought and call it "The War of Northern Aggression?). How could "honest Abe" do that to all them folks from the "land of cotton", did he forget the ol' times there which were not to be forgotten? Was "keeping the union together" worth the lives of Yanks and Rebels alike? Was all that killing justified when all it did was cost of all that freedom of choice for slave owners?

If your group is ready, willing and able to protest "war" for the sake of protesting it, yet you call those protesting you a joke, at what point do you draw the (punch)line? ;~D

btw, painting professional Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coastguardsmen as "victims" shows your true colors. Are you incapable of respecting others unless you can broadbrush them as "victims"? Guess what, Victim and Respect are NOT synonyms!!! Link

I would kill or die to protect your right to protest. Just out of curiosity, what would you do to protect it?
